Wireless Set-up of rear Surround Sound Speakers

Posted on: August 4, 2010 In: Blog

Setting up a home theatre and surround sound system in a home that wasn’t pre-wired can be difficult. Poking holes in walls or ripping off baseboards in an attempt to conceal wires can be a real hassle. Luckily, there is a way to avoid this common scenario!

The Bose® SL2 wireless sound link is a transmitter/receiver system that allows you to run your rear speakers wirelessly. The transmitter is connected to your Bose® surround sound system. A signal for the two rear speakers is sent, wirelessly, to a receiver at the back of the room, which is wired into the rear speakers.

The SL2 not only simplifies home theatre system installation, it also delivers the same high quality audio as Bose® wired home entertainment systems, and gives you greater flexibility in placement of your rear speakers.

The SL2 wireless sound link is compatible with all Bose® Lifestyle® systems, including older CD-based models, as well as all 5.1 channel Acoustimass® home entertainment systems.
